Improved Toilets in Beijing

Besides the bad situation of toilets in some parts of China, actually, the situation of toilets has improved a lot in many places. Take Beijing, the capital of China as an example. I went to Beijing during the Chinese New Year, the situation of toilets is much better than last time I went there. The toilets are cleaner and the air is fresher in most of the toilets. I remembered that the toilets of the Great Wall, the summer palace and the Forbidden City were really bad last time even though some of them claimed to be star toilets, but now it has improved a lot. I believed that the toilets are cleaned more times a day than before. The tourist guide told me that Beijing government had a better management system on the public toilets after SARS. The toilets in the old alleys are also very cleaned. There are also mobile toilets in Beijing too; it is very convenient for both the tourists and citizens. Besides, more signs and indications of toilets are on the streets, people can find a toilet much easier. Furthermore, education and cooperation of the citizens is important for a clean toilet; therefore different kinds of slogans are stuck onto the wall, reminding people to flush after use. The Beijing government has done a lot to improve the toilet situation to welcome the Olympic game 2008. I wish the Chinese government will improve the toilets in other provinces in the coming years.
